This, the 9th International Comminution Symposium (Comminution '14) is organised by MEI in consultation with Prof Malcolm Powell and Dr. Aubrey Mainza and is sponsored by TOMS, Starkey & Associates, King's Ceramics & Chemicals, Keramos, Polysius, FLSmidth and Magotteaux. Media sponsors are the Gold & Minerals Gazette.
MEI’s Comminution conferences are established as the main events for profiling cutting edge research and innovation in all aspects of crushing, grinding and ultrafine grinding in the minerals industry. We strongly encourage industrially based research papers showing the benefits of basing practical application on scientific rigour, such as the industrial validation of models and control techniques.
Call for Papers
Papers are invited for presentation at Comminution '14. All papers must be written and presented in English, the official language of the conference.
Abstract Submission
Short abstracts, of no more than 150 words, should be sent to Dr. Barry Wills by email by the end of October 2013.
Draft Papers
If accepted, draft papers will be required. These will form the unrefereed Proceedings, which will be available to delegates on a CD-ROM at the conference. Copyright on these papers belongs to the individual authors, and not to MEI.
Final Papers
Final papers should be submitted no later than one month after the end of the conference in order to be considered for the special issue of Minerals Engineering, the world's number 1 journal in mineral processing and extractive metallurgy, with the highest impact factor, and rated a maximum A* by the Australian Research Council. These will be refereed, and, if accepted, published in a special Comminution issue of the journal. Corresponding authors will receive one complimentary copy of this special issue. All other delegates may purchase the special issue from Elsevier Science Ltd at a discounted rate.
